Old Empathy 04:26
Old Empathy How the hell have you been? You've been around but you're never in the here and now. I know we're not talkers but can we try our best? I feel like sleep walkers caught in a spider’s web around you, around myself too. Hanging around on this town like a noose. A dream in the wind straight into the blue. Like a leach on my back I can't reach to remove. "Don't let it get the best of you" they say but it's awfully tempting some days to just turn it off. To just turn it all off. Red headed in the heat of embarrassment. Eyes are rolling like phosphine Ferris wheels. Old empathy, wash over me. My mind is like gum on the concrete. Stuck. I walk a pair of concrete shoes. You are the lake I fall in to. I'll get to the bottom of this. I'll get to the bottom of you.

Waves Goodbye Our heart it leads a chorus line as our conversations start to dry, like the rose on the lips of old relationships and the land of our fathers pride. Or heart it leads a marching band to the waving breaks of the oceans hands. We shake on agreement we must keep believing our lives are more than meaningless. Hang up the phone and make yourself at home. No worries, no woes, no more. Pour yourself a drink it's not as bad as you think. No worries, no woes, no more. Our body is a symphony in the city that reins cacophony. Where citizens dream of the day they can sleep but keep moving for fear of the end. We dance to the song of "what's going on?" A sawtooth sign waves right from wrong. The timing is trying and always dividing the past present future tense. Hang up the phone and make yourself at home. No worries, no woes, no more. Pour yourself a drink it's not as bad as you think. No worries, no woes, no more. There comes a time where all the stars in the sky will leave us behind as we're waving goodbye. There comes a day where we go our own ways where all is forgiven in loves embrace.

Dead End Host I'm seeing stars tomorrow, good luck on the cannons end. I'm seeing fear to follow, sorry friend I can't help man. Two steps towards the fruit of children, two steps and then back again. We'll rest in the gears of heaven, your dust is our dust in the end. Benevolently violent we are. Inhospitable, the most beautiful dream that I fear. A void above us. I don't think so. Abyss below. I don't think so. Is this the end? No I don't think so. How far does it go? No bodies know. Your dust is my dust. Benevolently violent we are. Inhospitable the most beautiful dream that I fear. I'm seeing stars tomorrow, good luck on the cannons end. I'm seeing fear to follow, sorry friend I can't help man.

Flowers in the Rain No more sorrow. No more pain. No more hanging our heads like flowers in the rain. No more sorrow. No more pain. No more. The boy is his mothers bastard son. He looks like the one they don't talk about at all. He lives his life like a tortoise on the run. Home at his back trapped in slow motion. The mother is the idol, a goddess of survival. She's been through hell yeah that's for sure, but hells door will open no more. The boy is his mother’s bastard son. He looks like the one they don't talk about at all. He lives his life like a tortoise on the run. Home at his back trapped in slow motion.

Not All There I think I buried something deep under the darkness that I keep. I don't remember just what it is but I get the feeling it's surfacing. So if I'm acting like I'm not there, like there's no one behind my stare. I swear I will be back with that laughter that I lack. I know you see the worst in me is everything I'm running from. If you can keep up then I believe we can cover some common ground. You are like magic to me. I believe but I don't understand a thing. Nothing. I don't know just what it is but I get the feeling it's surfacing. I know you see the worst in me is everything I'm running from. If you can keep up then I believe we can cover some common ground.

A Special Place in Hell There's a special place in hell for you, it's very hip and exclusive. Don't worry I'll be coming too, it's a long way down no ins and outs. All I know is that I don't. Want you worrying about it. Don't want you worrying about it. Pale blue dot our home. We're mirror bound no ins and outs. All I know is that I don't. Want you worrying about it. Don't want you worrying about it. Technicolor yawn all the feelings we can taste. Television hearts after our commercial breaks. The reenactment actors of ourselves get all the fame. But who needs that where were going no ones asking our names. There's a special place in hell for us. We've made it this far don't give up.
